Aliathon started life back in 1992 as a holiday village with just 52 apartments. Following a number of ambitious renovation and expansion projects, the most recent due for completion at the end of this month, Aliathon Holiday Village is reborn as Aliathon Resort comprising two hotel complexes and 460 accommodation units!
Set in an estate of 14 hectares centrally located in Paphos, in addition to the two hotels the Aliathon Plaza boasts a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars. The hotels themselves are also well-equipped for food lovers and offer terms of stay from Bed and Breakfast to All Inclusive.
The larger of the two hotels, Ionian Village is geared more towards leisure tourism during the high season with the quieter Aegean Village aimed at individuals and groups. In winter and the shoulder seasons though, this is a great option for large groups. The accommodation comprises studios, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments that can accommodate from 2- 6 people as well as the brand new swim up suites with direct pool access.
Perhaps most interesting for us is the conference centre, one of the largest on the island. The main venue – The Aphrodite Hall– can be used to accommodate up to 1000 delegates theatre style or for smaller groups the main multi-function centre consists of 9 fully equipped conference/breakout rooms. A range of other venues are also available with a total of 20 multi-function rooms at the resort, which gives lots of options for even the most complicated conference event. It is also possible to rent the space for large events and gala dinners for non-resident groups.
